Not every Villanova Alumnus who plays professional basketball is doing it in the NBA. As much as we all like to see our 'Nova "family" performing on big stages, some of them play for the love of the game (not that they can't make good money abroad). There are quite a few former Wildcats playing around the globe, so here's a quick rundown of where they are and what they're up to.
Allan Ray is currently rehabbing from a knee injury at his home in Atlanta, he will probably head back to Italy after he's back to full fitness. Last season he played for Lottomatica Virtus Roma before transferring to Carife Ferrara in the Italian and Euroleague competitions. With Ferrara he averaged 15.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2 assists, 2.7 steals and shot 36.4% from 3. He also likes to post youtube highlight videos on twitter...

Bryan Lynch is still married to Kim Clijsters and he is currently listed on the roster for the Antwerp Giants. I wasn't able to find any articles that weren't about his marriage to Kim Clijsters, nor was I able to find any statistics for him this year. Last season he averaged 7.4 ppg and shot 50% from the field in 27.5 minutes per game.
Brooks Sales spent the 2008-2009 season with Maccabi Haifa in Israel where he averaged 9.1ppg, 5.6. reb, and shot 49.3% from the field in 22.3 minutes. This season he returns to Israel with Ironi Ashkelon where he has been averaging 5.5ppg, 3.5 reb, and shot 66.7% from the floor in 16.5 minutes per game.
Chris Charles returns to the Middle East with Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut this season and may also play in Syria after the Lebanese season ends. In four games so far, the reigning Lebanese Center of the Year is averaging 31 minutes per game, 12.3 ppg, 10.8 reb, and 1.8 blocked shots. He blogs with his buddy Philwaukee at http://milwaukeehoopers.blogspot.com/.
Curtis Sumpter just ended his stay with French club BCM Gravelines. He joined Belgian team Dexia Mons-Hainaut on a two-month contract, where he should get more opportunities to play. With the exception of one game in Germany, this will be Sumpter's first time playing professionally outside of France. He was averaging 5.4ppg, 4.8 rebounds in 16 minutes per game with Gravelines this year. In 2008-2009 he averaged 30.5 minutes, 11.5 ppg and 5.2 rebounds in the Eurocup with Chorale de Roanne.
Chuck Kornegay is currently playing in the Argentinean league for Club Atlético Obras Sanitarias, after playing previously in Australia, Turkey and most prominently in Spain. He averaged 4 ppg, and 3 rebounds in 11.21 minutes per game. I don't read or speak Spanish well enough to make any more sense of what's going on there. Sorry.
Gary Buchanan is also playing in Argentina during the 2009-2010 basketball season with Gimnasia Esgrima Comodoro Rivadavia. This season he has scored 81 points (10.1 ppg) and is averaging 3.6 rebounds per game.
Mike Nardi is resuming his professional career in Italy with Edimes Pavia. In three games so far he has averaged 13 minutes, 3 ppg, 1.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1 steal. He spent the previous season with Air Avellino.
Rafal Bigus is currently playing in Poland for ISS Sportino Inowroclaw, where the center is averaging 8.2 ppg, 8.2 rebounds and 63% shooting in 26.2 minutes per game. This is his tenth season of professional basketball in Europe.
Howard Brown has been averaging 9.7ppg and 4.9 rebounds in 27.3 minutes per game for Faymasa Palencia in Spain this season. He spent the 2008-2009 season in Spain as well, with Aguas de Valencia.
