Villanova has assured themselves that they will, at worst be a 4-seed in next week's BIG EAST Tournament at Madison Square Garden. This gives Villanova the "double-bye" directly to the Quarterfinals on Thursday. [Tickets]
At best, Nova will be a 2 seed if they beat West Virginia on Saturday.
If WVU wins this weekend, they will earn the #2 seed and other games involving Pitt's remaining two games against Providence and Rutgers will need to shake out before we will know if Villanova will be a 3 or 4 seed.
