On Monday night, the Wildcats looked to end their losing ways but a red-hot shooting Notre Dame team made sure that didn't happen on Senior Night. And it didn't.
Villanova lost to ND, 72-93.
The Irish came into the game shooting just under 38% from 3-point range. Like most other Wildcat opponents, the luck did a 180 as ND scorched the nets for 20 3-pointers connecting on 62.5% of their shots. Led behind Tim Abromaitis 9 treys and Ben Hansbrough's 7 each of the two snipers scored 30 in the #8 Notre Dame's 24th win.
The loss sinks Villanova to 21-9 (9-8) and will only sink the Wildcats into a further tailspin as 'Nova faces #4 Pitt on the road on Saturday before entering the Big East Tournament and the NCAAs.
Corey Fisher led Nova with 22 points, including 17 points in the second 20 minutes.
