After showing you some video on Markus Kennedy and Darrun Hilliard, it's Tyrone Johnson's chance to shine. The 6'2" guard from New Jersey will join a talented backcourt and brings excellent off-the-dribble skills. At one of the country's best prep school programs, Johnson's handle and athleticism allowed him to take over games.
His shooting stroke is still raw, but when you get to the hoop as easily as Ty has until now, there is rarely much urgency to work on a jump shot. He did, however, dunk over 6'6" St. John's recruit, Amir Garrett in a game this past season.
Johnson is not yet a pure point guard, but his skill-set shows as much promise as anyone out there. Johnson will get into the backcourt rotation next season and be able to contribute on both offense and defense.
