Speculation was running rampant last night over a string of tweets from some heavy hitters in the media, the biggest one being the above from FOX's Jeff Goodman.
We've heard the rumors that Maalik Wayns was thinking about leaving early to the NBA as well. Frankly, it didn't really concern me, because he didn't have a great year. If he was a 1st round pick before the season, and that's a big if, then he certainly cannot be considered one now after the second half of the season that he and Villanova had.
My gut feeling is that Wayns and his camp are just testing the waters to see where he's projected. I think that'd be stupid to NOT do, actually, so kudos to them. And heck, it just might come back that some teams like him in the 1st round. Then what?
Well, then we've got a massive problem next season. Tyrone Johnson & Darrun Hilliard, welcome to major college basketball.
