The most wonderful week of the year is here as the Big East Tournament kicks off at Madison Square Garden in New York City today at noon. Typically, Tuesday has been the day reserved for the teams who just flat-out sucked in the regular season, so naturally your Villanova Wildcats fall into that category after a late-season swoon that would even make New York Mets fans cringe.
They'll take on the South Florida Bulls, a team they dispatched earlier this season at The Sun Dome 83-71. USF will be playing for pride (which coincidentally, is all we've been asking for out of 'Nova), while the 'Cats try to improve their NCAA Tourney seed, which has slipped from a #3 to a #8 in a matter of weeks.
