The CAA held its annual Media Day today, and it was announced that Villanova was picked to finish 7th in what is considered the best FCS conference in the country. Here are the rankings (first-place votes in parentheses):

2. James Madison (4)
3. Delaware (2)
4. New Hampshire (2)
5. Massachusetts (1)
6. Richmond
7. VIillanova
8. Rhode Island (1)
9. Maine
10. Old Dominion
11. Towson
Villanova also had 4 players selected to the preseason All-CAA 1st Team. WR Norman White, DB Jimmy Pitts, OL Dan Shirey and DL Antoine Lewis were given the honor.
Villanova is coming off of a national semi-final appearance and returns 12 starters from last year's team.
