Former Villanova Wildcats forward Antonio Pena has agreed to a contract with UB La Palma in Spain, according to the team's official website. (brush up on your Español people!)
The team is based in La Palma of The Canary Islands, a Spanish territory off the coast of Northwest Africa. Not a bad place for 'Tone to live. Roadtrip, anyone? Or I guess it'd be boatrip. Boats 'N Hoes!
If my Spanish is as good as I think it is, it appears Pena is a valuable commodity to La Palma because of his Dominican passport, which will free up an extra roster spot for the team.
