On Friday May 18th, 2012, the Seventh Annual Dick Vitale Gala will take place in Sarasota, Florida. At the event, Lou Holtz, Gary Williams, and Jay Wright will be honored for their contributions to the V Foundation for Cancer Research. The CEO of the V Foundation, Nick Valvano, said, "Dick has been a tremendous friend to The V Foundation over the years.
