Villanova Olympic Sport Oct-15 Recap

A look back over the past week at Villanova's Olympic Sports.


The Football team is coming off of a high defeating #3 Old Dominion and practice has begun for the basketball team. Here's a look at how other Villanova Sports team did...

Men's Cross Country participated at the Pre-NCAA Meet in Louisville and finished 8th. #1 runner Sam McEntee started the race but was unable to finish.

Women's Cross Country finished tied for 7th at the same meet behind Emily Lipari's strong 7th place finish.

Men's Golf finished 7th out of 19 schools at the Big 5 Invitational.

Women's Soccer played to a scoreless draw with DePaul on Friday and then lost to #24 Notre Dame, 1-0 on Sunday.

Women's Volleyball traveled to USF and was defeated 0-3 on Friday. The team rebounded and defeated Pitt on Sunday, 3-1 behind Krista Anderson and Lauren Carpenter who each recorded 14 kills.

Women's Field Hockey lost to Providence, 0-1 on Saturday.

Men's Soccer defeated Lafayette 2-1 early in the week and then downed Cincinnati 1-0 thanks to a 31st minute goal by Oscar Ulmar.
