Delaware boasts one of the most successful FCS football programs of all time, having won 6 national championships (the most recent coming in 2003) and playing in the national championship game in both 2007 and 2010. Similiar to Villanova's quick fall from grace in 2011, Delaware is experiencing a down year by their standards so far in 2012. Villanova had won 5 straight games against Delaware until last season's game.
