Big East/MSG deal is not in danger

While conference changes may cause Madison Square Garden to rethink it's relationship with the Big East, the arena is not at the point where it would be willing to pull the plug on the event. MSG needs a conference that can commit to an annual event over a long-term, rather than being a site in a rotation. The draw of Villanova, UConn, St. John's and Georgetown should be enough to sell tickets for the event according to ESPN.
