The 2012 Big East Tournament bracket is set, and the Villanova Wildcats will face the Rutgers Scarlet Knights for the second time in six days as the two teams meet in the opening round on Tuesday night. Following a Villanova loss to Cincinnati on the final day of the regular season and a Rutgers win over St. John's, 'Nova claimed the #14 seed while Rutgers finished in 11th place in the conference.
In their last meeting, Villanova staved off a potential second-half comeback by Rutgers to claim a win at The RAC.
Tuesday night's game will be in the second half of the evening session and is expected to start at approximately 9:00 pm ET and will be televised on ESPNU and will be on ESPN950 in Philadelphia.
The winner of Tuesday night's game will play #6 seed South Florida. #3 seed Notre Dame awaits a couple of games later in Thursday night's quarterfinal.
