Although Nova product Maalik Wayns was not drafted a month ago, he reportedly has signed a free-agent deal with the Philadelphia 76ers. Wayns' play in the Orlando Summer League must have caught the attention of the 76ers, who were in need of guards after Lou Williams was not re-signed this offseason.

The deal is most likely for the rookie minimum at just under half a million bucks, but nonetheless, this is a huge opportunity for Maalik. Wayns grew up in Philly, spent 3 years on the Main Line at Villanova, and now gets a chance to play for the 76ers.
