The good news continues on the Josh Hart recruitment front. Just a few days after Hart narrowed down his list to 7 schools, he spoke with National Recruiting Spotlight and said some things that you'll really like if you're a part of 'Nova Nation.
First off, his favorite coaching staffs:
"My favorite coaching staffs are Villanova and Penn State," Hart told NRS in a phone interview. "I really like [Villanova head coach] Jay Wright. He has a lot of character and they have been really up front with me throughout the whole process. [Assistant] coach [Doug] Martin is a guy I’ve known for a while too. The Penn State coaches have great energy and passion and they care about their players."
Next up, the schools recruiting him the hardest:
The 6’5, 200-pound Maryland native identified Villanova and Rutgers as the two schools recruiting him hardest...
And to put a bow on it, he dropped some knowledge on what he likes about each of his 7 finalists, with the following to say about Villanova. Keep in mind the 'last' comment is him referring to Villanova being the final school of his finalists to speak about.
"Villanova is the last one of my seven, I really like Jay Wright as a coach. One of my coaches, coach Martin, is also on the staff. I know I fit into their offense and style of play."
The article mentions he's looking to make a commitment prior to the start of his high school season in mid-November, and that he'll be taking an official visit to 'Nova, though a date hasn't been set yet.
Commence your rejoicing.
