1st Semester Grades

This team , program, and many of its players seem to suffer from split personality disorder. We have seen a strong Nova team show up, like against St Johns and USF, and we have seen the ugly team like against LaSalle, Bama, and Columbia. Things were seemingly getting better for this team until the second half of the Syracuse game. Anyway here are my Grades.

Ryan Arch - A - Solid first half of a rookie season. Needs to limit the turnovers.

Pinkston - (A-) - Improving his ability to finish. Needs to demand the ball down low more.

Ochefu - (B) - Good looking big freshmen. Needs to work on being prepared to receive the ball and finishing. Solid improvement at the Free Throw line.

Sutton - (B-) - Improved at the FT line. Needs to stop the stupid, away from the ball fouls.

Yarou (C) - Starting to actually show up in the last two games. Finally demanding the ball down low. Still disappears during the game too much.

Yacoubou (C) - Very athletic and can nail a 3 occasionally, but still falling way short of expectations.

Chennault (F) - I am still trying to understand how he ever started at Wake. He plays like a pansy on both sides of the ball.

Bell (F) - The Harry Houdini of the team, disappears for entire games. A huge disappointment.

Hilliard (F) - Not a division I player, and will hopefully be replaced by Ennis or Hart next year. He is shooting 8/39 FG in the last four games. If at least half of his shots were passes inside to Pinkston or Yarou, this team would be so much better.

Jay Wright (F) - While I am okay with the Pinkston 6th man concept, Pinkston is still getting far too few touches. The recruiting for 2013 is the major reason for the F. We only landed 1 ESPNU top 100 for 2013, and at this point Ochefu will be the only guy with legnth next year.
