The honors continue for Villanova sophomore Darrun Hilliard. A day after being named BIG EAST conference Player of the Week, the 6'6" Bethlehem, PA native was selected by the US Basketball Writers Association as the National Player of the Week.

Hilliard averaged 18 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists as unranked Villanova defeatedthe pair of Top 5 teams as he shot 11-17 (65%) from the floor including 4-10 from 3-Point in Villanova's upsets of [then] #5 Louisville and [then] #3 Syracuse last week.
