Baseball America announced the top prospects for the Chicago Cubs organization on Monday. Villanova alumn Matt Szczur who was drafted by Chicago in the fifth round of the 2010 draft was noted by the baseball gurus to be the Best Athlete and Fastest Baserunner in the Cubs' minor league organization.
Szczur ended the 2012 season with the Tennessee Smokies, the Cubs' Double-A team.
