Big East sought $300 million per year annual rights from ESPN

In their negotiations with ESPN, the Big East reportedly demanded $300 million per year from the broadcaster during their exclusive negotiation period. That amount is larger that the largest annual payout to any other conference (the Pac-12 currently gets $250million annually).
