Villanova has great non conference wins. Georgetown beat VCU. Other than that, the non conference has been a bus for the conference.
Marquette blew another game against Wisconsin today, Creighton lost two games in their tourney.
These teams are going to step it up and be tough down the stretch, but the RPI numbers are not going to justify more than 3 bids.
That means, that 4 of these teams are going to be left out (maybe five): Nova, Creighton, Butler, Marquette, St. John's, Providence, Butler and Xavier.
Can the Big East create relevance, or is the NIT going to become the Big East Special?
I also believe that if Nova goes 12-6 in the league, that would be a good year, but nationally relevant?
