Big East Tournament 2014: Sterling Gibbs buzzer beater takes down Villanova

Onions, but not the good kind.

The Seton Hall Pirates got a buzzer beater by Sterling Gibbs to defeat the 1-seed Villanova Wildcats, 64-63. Gibbs used a beautiful step-back move to get loose from Darrun Hilliard and get off a shot as time expired. Gibbs, who had not shot well to that point, drained the jumper for the win.

The win was the first ever victory for the Seton Hall program over a team ranked in the top-3 of the AP poll, moving them to 1-31 in such games all-time.

They will move on to face the winner of the St. John's-Providence game in the Big East semi-finals on Friday night.
