Lawrence North (Ind.) offensive lineman MJ Dumas has signed his Letter of Intent to play football at Villanova, the school announced this morning. Dumas verbally committed to Villanova just a few weeks ago in January after taking his official visit to the school.
Dumas is a massive prospect at 6'5" and 320 pounds and will remind fans of Ethan Greenidge, who came in ready to play college ball last season and ended up starting at right tackle for most of the season. Dumas was named All-State, All-MIC and All-County following his senior season.
Depth Chart (* denotes walk-on)
Class | Name | Height | Weight |
---|---|---|---|

Senior | Brad Seaton | 6'8 | 310 lbs. |
Senior | Jake Prus | 6'6" | 300 lbs. |
Junior | Matt Donoghue | 6'4" | 280 lbs. |
Junior | Alex Coren | 6'2" | 280 lbs. |
Sophomore | Keegan Sheedy | 6'4" | 255 lbs. |
Sophomore | Louie Csaszar | 6'3" | 305 lbs. |
Senior | Nico D'Angelo | 6'3" | 280 lbs. |
Sophomore | Ethan Greenidge | 6'4" | 345 lbs. |
Sophomore | Brandon Hitner | 6'6" | 285 lbs. |
With 4 starters back on the offensive line, it's highly unlikely Dumas wins a starting spot out of summer camp. But he appears to be a diamond in the rough. He's got the size and frame to dominate later in his career once he hits the weight program and he plays with a nasty mean streak, finishing every block he can get. This looks like a great signing for the future.
Welcome MJ to 'Nova Nation!
