Congrats are in order for Villanova Wildcats junior safety Rob Rolle has been named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week.
From the CAA:
Rolle recorded a team-high nine tackles and returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown as Villanova defeated Towson, 40-21, in its CAA opener. The interception return late in the fourth quarter set a Wildcats’ school record and was Rolle’s second defensive touchdown in the first three games this season.
Rolle had previously returned a fumble for a touchdown against Pittsburgh in the season opener and has 23 tackles on the season to date. He has established himself early on as the top playmaker in the what looks like another talented Villanova defense.
