Coaches & Players
Head Coach: Rob Ambrose is entering his 4th season at the helm of the Tigers, and has had quite the wild ride. His first two seasons in charge were nothing short of disasters, finishing with 2-9 and 1-10 records. However, the 2011 season marked one of the greatest turnarounds football has ever seen as Ambrose led the Tigers to a 9-2 record, the CAA Championship, and an FCS Playoffs berth.
Top Assistants: While Ambrose calls the plays for the offense, Damon Yaffe is known as the "Quality Control" (which I'm just going to assume means Yaffe veto'ing Ambrose when he gets crazy and calls for the Annexation of Puerto Rico). Matt Hachmann runs the defense and is also in his 4th year having joined the staff with Ambrose.
Most Famous Football Alum: Dave Meggett, who played for Towson from 1987-1988, won the Walter Payton Award as the top player in Division 1-AA and then went on to be drafted by the New York Giants, where he would be a part of team that won Super Bowl XXV.
