The University of New Hampshire opened their 2013 campaign on the road at Central Michigan, where the MAC squad narrowly defeated UNH. Since then, the Wildcats have defeated Colgate and Rhode Island while dropping to Lehigh and Towson.
UNH owns the nation’s longest streak of Top-25 appearances with 132 in a row, a stretch that dates back to Sept. 13, 2004, and is an amazing 83 weeks longer than Montana State, which has the country’s second-longest ranked streak.
UNH is the only school in the CAA to rank in the top-3 in both rushing offense (242yds/game) behind Nico Steriti's 91yds and passing offense (236) due to the tandem of Andy Vailas & Sean Goldrich. The Wildcats’ balanced attack has resulted in 479 yards/game, is tops in the CAA.
SInce the starts of the 2007 season, UNH is 31-4 at Cowell Stadium. The ‘Cats have recorded wins in 12 of their last 13 home games and are 24-2 in their last 26 matchups in "the Dungeon".
Head Coach: Sean McDonnell (UNH '78) is in his 15th season at the helm of New Hampshire. In his tenure, the Wildcats have tallied a record of 106-69 under his guidance. He was the Eddie Robinson National Coach of the Year in 2005 and a Finalist in '04. He has led the Wildcats to the Quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament, six times.
UNH alumn Corey Graham ('07) was drafted by the Chicago Bears. He currently suits up at Cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens. Defensive Tackle Jared Smith is playing for the 1st Place Seattle Seahawks. Also, Mike O'Malley ('92) was nominated for an Emmy for his role as ‘Burt Hummel’ in Fox’s hit series Glee
