Villanova has lost one if its greats. Legend Larry Hennessy (Class of 1953) passed away earlier this week at the age of 79.
Hennessy scored 1,737 points in 3 years for the Wildcats and his #14 jersey hangs in the Pavilion. He also grabbed 438 rebounds in his career at 'Nova. In 1952, he was named a First-Team sophomore All-American.
In 1953, he scored 45 points against Boston College, the third highest single-game output in Villanova history.
After Villanova, Hennessy played for the Philadelphia Warriors and was a part of their 1956 National Championship team.
