Class of '09: Best Passing Point Guard- Maalik Wayns

Paul Biancardi of Scout and ESPN.com has a Superlatives article for the High School Class of 2009.

Best Passer: Maalik Wayns

This quick, strong playmaker is very adept at creating for himself and his teammates. Wayns, who is committed to Villanova, can push the ball in transition and score himself or draw the defender and dish out the dime. In the half court, he changes speed with his dribble, which makes him even harder to guard. If you pressure him, he will put you on his hip and carry him into the lane, where he will dish or score. Wayns always exhibits court vision to hit a scoring cutter or open shooter. On his penetration he must develop a middle game.( floater, pull-up jumper @the elbows) This young man is as competitive as they come and is developing into one of the better point guards in the country.

This is an exciting review. The 2008-09 season hasn't even started and 'Nova Nation is excited to Maalik in a Villanova uniform.
