Today ends the Early Signing Period.
Yesterday's announcement of Xavier Henry to head to Memphis has caused Villanova recruiting target Dominic Cheek to cross Memphis off of his list according to Adam Zagoria. He will visit Rutgers this weekend and Pitt the week of Thanksgiving. Cheek will be signing during the Spring Period (April 15 - May 20)... but that does not mean he will wait until then to Commit.

In early September, Villanova coach Jay Wright, playing the part of Kevin Bacon's Jimmy Dolan in a reprisal of The Air Up There, flew to Benin with associate coach Pat Chambers. Wright informed him that he wanted to know his family, even though Yarou's parents speak no English. After landing at 7 p.m., Wright and Chambers were back in the air by noon the next day, but the coaches met family members and toured the town in between. "I was impressed that he went," Yarou said.
Besides the mention of Jarrid Famous, it doesn't seem like the staff is (or really ever was) truly persuing the Junior College transfer.
Officially, we would like to welcome [again] Maalik Wayns, Isaiah Armwood, and Mouphtaou Yarou to the Villanova Family as they all signed National Letters of Intent in the past week!
