Georgetown 56: :54 Villanova

A desperate Georgetown team with the toughest schedule in the country came to the Wachovia Center this afternoon and held on to upset the #10 Wildcats.

The Hoyas had up to an 8 point lead in the second half, but Villanova was unable to take the lead. Corey Stokes hit a pair of free throws with 1:15 to go in the game to cut the lead to 1, but Villanova was unable to convert on the number of oportunities in the last minute to close the gap or take the lead in a game that saw 45 combined turnovers.

Dante Cunningham led 'Nova with 13 points and Scottie Reynolds added 12. The Villanova loss moves the squad to 23-6 (11-5).

The Wildcats now head to South Bend to take on Notre Dame on Monday evening.
