Pinkston & Collier
Adam Zagoria of SNY.TV reports today that basketball coaches around the country will hit the road between July 6-15 and again from July 22-31 as the NCAA evaluation period begins. Among the most popular stops are the LeBron Camp, Reebok All-American Camp, the Hoop Group Elite camp, Peach Jam, Summer Classic, and the Joe Brown tournament in New Jersey. Mr. Zagoria highlights a pair Villanova's 2010 recruiting targets -- Jayvaughn Pinkston and Devon Collier.
First is a 6-6, 235-pound forward Jayvaughn Pinkston, who he calls “the best player in New York City in the post-Stephenson era". Pinkston, ranked No. 85 by Rivals, also is being courted by Tennessee, Marquette, Arizona, St. John's, Rutgers and Seton Hall. Mr. Zagoria also mentions Nova recruit Devon Collier, a 6-7, 205-pound combo forward from St. Anthony, Jersey City. Virginia, Indiana, Providence, Boston College, St. John's, Seton Hall, West Virginia and Rutgers are also in the hunt for Mr. Collier's services.
