Will Scottie Become the All-Time Scoring Leader?

Scottie Reynolds

We sit here in the doldrums before the 2009-10 Villanova Basketball Season and there is a fantastic possibility that one of our current players will very quietly go down as one of the greatest Wildcats ever.

Scottie Reynolds currently sits on Villanova's All-Time Scoring List at #15 with 1,620 career points and a whole season ahead of him. Kerry Kittles stands at the #1 spot with 2,243.

So can Scottie drop 624 points in the 2009-10 Campaign?

greyCat at Villanova by the Numbers has a more in-depth stastitical look on this subject with some historical numbers - so take a look.

Here are some averages. If Villanova can replicate the 2009 season and play in 38 games, Scottie would need to average16.42 points. On the low end, if 'Nova plays in 30 games Reynolds would need to drop in 20.8 points a game. If the Senior averages 18 points a game, the Wildcats will need to play in 34.67 games.

So what do you think..
