The season didn't start out the way that Villanova Head Coach Jay Wright had expected when his Wildcats went into halftime with a 1 point lead.
'Nova (1-0) turned to Junior Corey Stokes and his 17 second half points to beat Fairleigh Dickinson 84-61. Stokes (5-10 3FG) led all scorers with 20 points. Corey Fisher added 13 points.
The win was Nova's 29th consecutive victory at The Pavilion. The Wildcats’ last loss on campus was to DePaul 73-65 on January 6, 2007.
The Wildcats host Penn in a Big 5 matchup Monday night from The Pavilion.
