"Closest to the Pin" Contest - Round 3 (Drexel)

Closest to the Pin LogoAs a bit of a distraction from the ongoing Mouph story, the window is now open for round 3 of our Closest to the Pin Contest, featuring the Drexel game. Refer to our 2009-10 "Closest to the Pin" Contest post for contest rules and prizes. Going into round three, our leaders are Pete (10 pts.) Andy ‘06 (5 pts), Tony (3 pts), Wallace (3 pts) and imisskylelowry (3 pts).

So far this season, Nova has scored an average of 81.2 points while holding their opponents to 64.8 Drexel has scored an average of 63.9 points while holding their opponents to 63.0. The Cats are 6-0 while the Explorers are 3-4 with wins over Penn (+9), Vermont (+13) and Toledo (+10) and losses against St. Joes (-10), Niagra (-7), Rutgers (-2), and Cornell (-7). Nova is ranked #3 AP, while Drexel is not ranked. Villanova has an RPI (#36) and SOS (#166); RPI and SOS information is not available for Drexel. See Derp's post, "A Look At Drexel" for further insights. The Vegas odds-makers picked Nova to win by 19 points, and set the over/under at 131.5 (expecting a low scoring game).
