Villanova Wins Battle of the Catholic Universities Between City Line Avenue and the Blue Route

In deference to those who don't want to use the term "Holy War"... Villanova beat St. Joe's (PA) tonight to lay claim to the Battle of the Catholic Universities Located Between City Line Avenue and the Blue Route (exhale) by a score of 97-89.

Scottie Reynolds paved the way with 22 points and Taylor King added another 20 (and 9 boards) as Villanova shot 47% from the floor to extend their record to 9-0.

Junior big man Antonio Pena added 15 points. Corey Fisher was good for 13 and 6 assists as the Wildcats out-rebounded the Hawks 39-23.

'Nova shot 35-40 from the Free Throw Line including going 30 for 31 in the second half.

Villanova will cross the City to Temple and take on the Owls in their next action set for Sunday night.
