Update: Tip-Off, Saturday, 2:00 PM : A total of 71 VUH readers posted picks in Round 7 (none predicting a Fordham victory). Collectively, the readers see Nova winning 89-63 (a winning margin of 26 points and implied over/under of 152). The Vegas odds-makers see it much the same way with ’Nova winning (-28) with an over/under of 152 (an implied score of 90-62). Our scatter chart depicting the readers' predictions appears below.

Window Opening: December 17, 8:00 PM. The window is now open for readers to post their predicted scores against Fordham in Round 7 of our Closest to the Pin Contest. After six rounds, Pete is in first place with 14 points, Andy ‘06 in second place with 11 points, and MIKE, Old School, and Tom ‘87 are tied for third place with 6 points each.
‘Nova (9-1) has scored an average of 82.1 points while holding their opponents to 69.7. Fordham (2-6) has scored an average of 63.1 points while giving up 70.0 points. Fordham’s two wins were against Sacred Heart (+10) and Stony Brook (+16). The Ram’s more noteworthy losses have come against St. John’s (-17), Manhattan (-24) and Bowling Green (-31). Villanova is ranked #9, has an RPI of 9 and an SOS of 75. Fordham is not ranked, has an RPI of 266 and an SOS of 136. We’ll post our pregame review and Las Vegas spread / over-under on Saturday.
