Villanova Freshman point Guard Maalik Wayns has earned the Big East Rookie of the Week honors for third time this season.
Last week, he averaged 11.5 points and shot 58.3 percent from the floor in a pair of Wildcat victories. He scored 16 points in 20 minutes to contribute to Villanova’s 81-71 win at St. John’s. For the season, Wayns is averaging 8.6 ppg.
