Update: Saturday, February 6, 12:00 Noon (Game Time) A total of 67 VUH readers posted predictions (six predicting a Georgetown victory). Collectively, the readers see Nova winning 80-75 (a margin of 5 points and implied over/under of 155). The Vegas odds-makers see it differently, favoring Georgetown (-2) with the over- under set at 151, implying a final score of 75-77). After seventeen rounds, our leader board shows Andy ‘06 in first place with 20 points, Pete in second place with 15 points, and Tommyboy in third place with 14 points.
So far this season, Villanova (20-1, 9-0) has scored an average of 85.0 points while holding their opponents to 70.5. Georgetown (16-5, 6-4) has scored an average of 72.5 points while giving up 63.2 points. The Hoya’s more notable wins have come vs. Temple (+1), vs. Connecticut (+3), vs. Seton Hall (+12), @ Pittsburgh (+8) and vs. Duke (+12).
