Some Villanova Recruiting Targets have been in the news recently. For the Class of 2010, Cory Joseph the 6'3" point guard from Findlay Prep in Nevada has been named to this spring's Jordan Brand High School All-America Game.
He and 'Nova Commit JayVaughn Pinkston were both named to the McDonald's High School All-American game. Joseph, still maintains a list of 5 possible college choices- Villanova, Texas, UConn, Minnesota, and UNLV.
Michael Gilchrist '11, a 6'7" forward from St. Patrick's in Elizabeth, NJ is considered by many as the best high school basketball player today. In an NBE Basketball article he notes, that he "Likes Villanova a lot". The other schools on Gilchrist's list are Kentucky, Oregon, Texas, Michigan, and Georgia Tech.
Finally, out in Seattle, Garfield's 6'5" point guard Tony Wroten Jr a top 10 player in the Class of 2011, will be making his first action of the season tonight will not be playing high school ball in 2010 according to his father. Wroten is returning from an ACL injury that he sustained in September while playing football. Last month, he noted Villanova in his final 5 along with Washington, Oregon, Syracuse, and Tennessee.
