After getting a scare from now-unranked UPenn at the weekend, the Wildcats held onto the top-spot in the FCS poll again this week. Villanova has been the top-rated team in all but one week so far in the TSN poll, with the Montana Grizzlies (now 12th) as the only other team to hold that spot.

The CAA maintained it strong showing, with James Madison (3) and Delaware (5) joining the Wildcats in the top-5 and William & Mary (7) and UMass (8) helping the conference hold on to half of the top-10. Richmond (11) and New Hampshire (14) are also ranked in the poll and future CAA members Old Dominion and Georgia State both received votes.

In the FCS Coaches Poll, Appalachian State retained the #1 ranking, while the Wildcats held steady at #2. The CAA had the most teams represented in the coaches poll with seven. That poll is voted on by a panel of FCS coaches and administered by the Southern Conference.

Finally, Villanova clocks in at #72 in Jeff Sagarin's computer ratings, which is enough to make the 'Cats the third-highest FCS school in the rankings. Ahead of the 'Cats are James Madison at 36 and Delaware at 66.
