Wisdom of Crowds Experiment: Dominic Cheek

In this year’s Wisdom of Crowds series, our assignment is to figure out how Coach Wright will replace 40% of last season’s offense produced by departed players Scottie Reynolds, Reggie Redding, and Taylor King. In that quest, we now turn to our attention to sophomore wing guard, Dominic Cheek. By the way, there is still time to vote in our earlier WOC polls:

Use the voting buttons, below, to predict the points per game you think Dominic will score this year and the comment section to explain your thinking. To help you come up with your prediction, we have provided his stats from last season and a "third party expert" player assessment, below.

Third Party Expert Player Assessment

Strengths: "2-guard with excellent size and scoring ability ... A prolific scorer in high school with a smooth offensive game. Has a picture perfect release and great range on his shot ... His shooting ability combined with his athleticism give him excellent potential ... Has a long, wiry frame ... A solid athlete with good quickness ... Does a good job of creating shots for himself ... Ball handling is solid and should continue to develop ... Good body control and finishes well around the rim ... Shows a good understanding of the game, and plays within himself and rarely gets out of control ... "
Weaknesses: "Has a lot of development left to do physically. Strength will allow him to finish and be more aggressive around the basket ... Needs to tighten his handle and develop his passing skills ... Has a great frame to be a good defender, but must work on staying low and focusing on the defensive end ... Will need to become better at moving without the ball, to free himself for shots off the ball ..."
