Report: Savon Goodman To Announce For Villanova Tonight

Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog is reporting that 2012 wing Savon Goodman of Philadelphia, PA will announce for the Villanova Wildcats over the Kentucky Wildcats and North Carolina Tar Heels.

Goodman is ranked as the #7 small forward in the 2012 class by Rivals and would represent the 2nd verbal committment of the class for coach Jay Wright, with Ryan Archidiacono being the other.

Goodman will announce his decision on Comcast tonight in Philly, with 'Nova the strong favorite:

"I’m leaning toward ‘Nova, but I’m not committed at this time," the 6-foot-6, 210-pound swingman told the [Philadelphia Inquirer] paper. "I will make my decision within the week."

Goodman would be a huge coup for Jay Wright and Villanova, and his coach Kevin Givens believes he'll fit right in with the way Villanova Basketball is played.

"He’s an open floor type of player," Givens said. "The kid’s got a heart like nobody else. Every coach who recruits him says, ‘We just want him on our our side and we want him on the floor.’ He’s unbelievable in terms of his motivation and energy on the court."
