According to Dylan Butler of The New York Post, team officials are expecting a 4-game suspension for JayVaughn Pinkston in the reported off-campus altercation on Saturday night. No official statement has been released from the University as of yet, although they have confirmed they are investigating the incident.
A source said Pinkston was locked in the laundry room at the facility by two males. The 6-foot-7, 260-pound 18-year-old broke the door down and allegedly got involved in an altercation with the two at a nearby party, a source told The Post.
Another source said Pinkston was involved in a fight at a party and that "it was bad."
Jay Wright has finally come out and spoken to the alleged incident as well.
"It surprises me a lot," Villanova coach
Jay Wright told the Associated Press. "He's a great kid. It's not like him." "He made a mistake," Wright said. "He's going to take responsibility and we'll see how it goes."
...So that's two completely different stories in one report...one makes him sound like The Incredible Hulk...sounds like even Butler's sources don't know what is going on...I will say that we at The Nova Blog have spoken to a source that we trust, and this information in The Post is not exactly aligned...but that is not surprising based on the numerous accounts of Saturday night's events...
...The true details should emerge soon enough, and then we can discuss the ramifications...
