Blue Hens vs Wildcats boxscore
"I still don't think we're as good our ranking, I really don't, but I think we could get there," Jay Wright said.
That about sums up yet another performance that will leave everyone wondering what exactly is going on with Villanova. Though the final score line indicates a comfortable win, it was anything but that until the final few minutes of the game when the Villanova Wildcats pulled away for the win.
Corey Fisher led the way with 21 points and 6 assists, and despite 5 turnovers (and 17 overall for the team) it was a solid performance from the senior. Maalik Wayns chipped in with 14 points to help secure the victory.
James Bell was instrumental in keeping the Delaware Blue Hens at bay in the first half, scoring 8 of his 10 points before the break. Mouphtaou Yarou and Antonio Pena struggled throughout though, scoring 6 and 7 points respectively against Jamelle Hagins, who recorded 7 blocks on the evening.
We'll have more on the game later today.
