Kyle Lowry, Randy Foye & Dante Cunningham Updates

Big news this week as both Kyle Lowry and Randy Foye, who left Villanova in 2006 together, are settled on where they will be playing their NBA ball next season. Both Lowry and Foye were free agents for the first time, and thankfully, didn't have the hoopla of some of the other free agents in 2010. They quietly went about their business.

Foye snagged a 2 year deal worth 8.5 million with the Los Angeles Clippers on July 9th. Foye averaged 10.1 points per game last year for the Washington Wizards, and is a former lottery pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

...I'll be honest, I was hoping he would join my New York Knicks, especially after seeing the price he went at. I think he's a steal for the Clips...

Meanwhile, Lowry looked set to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers as they scramble in the LBJ-wake, but the Houston Rockets swooped in and matched the Cavs' offer, and therefore will sign the restricted free agent PG. Lowry signed a 3 year deal worth 24 million.

...I don't know what Kyle thinks, but I think his agent is a little pissed...

And finally, in the Pacific Northwest, Dante Cunningham is hard at work on his game after a promising rookie season. Oregon Live reports that Cunningham is viewed by the Portland Trail Blazers as a potential defensive standout, with the ability to guard anyone on the court.

...Not that we didn't already know this...Kevin Durant knows this too...

Cunningham is also hard at work on his dribble-drive game, as the NBA quickly adjusted to his best weapon, the mid-range jumper.

...This is the biggest thing for Dante...the pick-n-popis what got him PT last season, but now the league is on to him...if he can show he can get to the rim and finish when teams jump out, he's well on his way...
