Villanova Men's Soccer is thrilled to announce that they will be playing the University of South Florida Bulls at PPL Park on October 9th. The match, which will play a crucial role in the Big East playoff race, will kick off at 7pm.

PPL Park opened in June and serves as the home of Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union. The stadium, which overlooks the Delaware River, has a capacity of 18,500 and is the cornerstone of a $500 million waterfront revival project.

"We are extremely happy for the opportunity to play at PPL Park and especially against such a top quality nationally recognized opponent as the University of South Florida," stated Villanova head coach Tom Carlin. "PPL Park is a first class MLS Stadium and it will be great for our players to play in such a professional environment."

All tickets for this special soccer event will be priced at $5.00 and can be purchased at Villanova.com or by calling the Villanova Athletics Ticket Office at 610-519-4000.

...Expect more soccer on here...my boy, and former captain, Joey Taylor is now an assistant on the team so expect some game recaps that include how he single-handedly managed the team to victory despite never setting foot on the field...
