postGame: Villanova 43, Towson 7

Villanova (2-1, 1-1) notched a 43-7 win over Towson (1-2, 0-1) in the CAA curtain-raiser for both schools.

The stifling defense carried over from last week's dominating performance, holding Towson to just 7 points and under 200 yards of offense. They also forced 2 turnovers on the day, with Marquis Kirkland picking off a pass and Keenan Malone recovering a fumble. Towson managed just 17 yards rushing on 28 carries.

The Villanova offense also continued to roll, building a 36-0 lead at the half and allowing some of the reserves to see plenty of action for the second week in a row. Chris Whitney tallied 4 touchdowns on the day, getting 2 on the ground and 2 via the pass.

Dorian Wells also found the endzone multiple times, catching passes from both Whitney and Matt Szczur. And Aaron Ball continued his assault on the ground, going over 100 yards for the 2nd week in a row and scoring on a career-best 57-yard run.
