DePaul used a 14-1 streak in the first half to give them a solid lead that lasted through most of the game, but Villanova behind a career-high 34 points from senior Corey Fisher refused to give up.
The senior point guard hit a game tying 3-pointer in the waning seconds of regulation to tie the game and send the #14 Wildcats to overtime... against the worst team in the Big East.
Playing without Corey Stokes, Jay Wright's club found difficulty in making shots while the Blue Demons made a scorching 13 3-Pointers. Maalik Wayns added 17 points and Mouphtaou Yarou had a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Villanova next hosts Syracuse on Monday.
