Daniel Ochefu Commits to Villanova

Daniel Ochefu a Class of 2012 Power Forward from the Westtown School in Westtown, PA has given Jay Wright a verbal commit to play at Villanova according to the Recruit Scoop.

The 6'9" big man is comfortable in the Power Forward and should excel as a "Jay Wright 5"; is a skilled post player who, according to ESPN, "has range to 17 feet" as well as be a potential threat with his back to the basket.

He told Scout.com "I am really excited to be committing to Villanova because I really liked coach Wright and his assistants. I liked the fact that it's close to my family and that my high school is only 20 minutes away so family and friends can come see me play,"

Why Villanova? Ochefu noted, "The Nova campus is nice, they have a great coaching staff and I have enjoyed my visits there. I feel like Nova will be the best situation for me."

He is ranked #16 in the Class by Rivals, #15 by Scout, and #20 by ESPN.

Villanova beat out Temple, Texas, and Georgetown.

Ochefu joins a 2012 Recruiting class of Ryan Arcidiacono and Savon Goodman.
