The Randy Foye Foundation will be hosting two upcoming social events to raise money for their projects aiding Newark schoolchildren. The foundation provides mentoring and educational assistance programs in Newark schools, arranges internships for Newark high school students, works with the Community Foodbank, and runs summer camps that benefit underprivileged kids.
The following events are coming up:
Party Boat Cruise in New York City
- Saturday, June 18, 2011
- Rocks Off Concert Cruise aboard the Cabana
- Boards: 7:00pm / Departs: 8:00pm
- W. 41st St. Maps & Directions
- Price: $40
Randy Foye will be playing the part of Gilligan on a three-hour-tour of the New York City waterways. The event features music, dancing, food and drinks (food and drinks not included in price). There will also be a silent auction of NBA and music memorabilia on board the boat.

Night for Newark
- Saturday, July 9, 2011
- Robert B. Meyner Reception Center, Exit 116, Garden State Parkway (Holmdel)
- Cocktail hour 6:00pm; Dinner program 7:00pm
- Prices: Individual $300, Young Professional (under-30) $100.
Ever want to know what it was like to be at P. Diddy's annual Hampton's white party? Well, the Night for Newark will probably be nothing like it. The dress code is a very polite suggestion that you wear your summer white attire, but a splash of color won't get you turned away at the door.
Randy will be celebrating the achievements of his Newark programs at a nice indoor reception center in suburban Holmdel, New Jersey. The bar is open and the food is buffet -- and much like the boat cruise, Foye's friends from Villanova and beyond are always in attendance.
Expect dinner, dancing and schmoozing over a few drinks. Randy uses the opportunity to recognize the people who have helped his foundation every year and to recognize the achievements of the kids who came through his program.
