Scottie Reynolds in the Philippines

Scottie Reynolds arrived in the Philippines recently to join the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters of the Philippine Basketball Association. TNT is a professional basketball team that was founded in 1990 and originally owned by Pepsi Philippines and is now owned by the Pilipino Telephone Corporation.

If he impresses coaches in practice this week, he will take the roster spot of Maurice Baker, a point guard from Oklahoma State who spent time with the Clippers and Trailblazers in the NBA. Baker would be placed on the injured list if Reynolds joins the team.

On Baker, the TNT coach told Malaya, "Mo Baker is a very solid role player. He does exactly what you tell him to do. But there are some times in a game when you like him to be more assertive."

Scottie Reynolds, one of the most prolific scorers in Villanova history, has no issue with being assertive when the ball is in his hands.

The Texters are currently playing for the Philippine Cup, and will face Petron Blaze, Alaska, Rain or Shine, Ginebra and B-MEG in a six-team semi-final round.
